PREVIEW: Is GHOSTWARE - ARENA OF THE DEAD the Next UNREAL?

Ghostware: Arena of the Dead by Daev Team and published by Hyperstrange may be one of the most cleverly self aware retro style shooters to come out in this whole craze. It apes the arena shooter multiplayer maps of Quake but against bots, the outdoor areas of an Unreal or Turok game, and weaves in a meta-narrative about what's apparently dead players brought back to life as digital ghosts to compete for a deranged benefactor's entertainment and nostalgia. But the mystery's deeper than that and grows more twisting and this is just the first episode in early access. See if this one's got what you like in a retro shooter within!
