Should You Catch the MIDNIGHT FIGHT EXPRESS?

It's not everyday you find a good brawler or beat 'em up, much less a good indie one, and much less one primarily designed by one man. In the case of Midnight Fight Express (published by Humble Games), that one man was Jacob Dzwinel, who came up with the story, prototyped many of the animations by hand, and did level design. He eventually enlisted the help of popular motion capture artist Eric Jacobus (most famously known for mocapping Kratos in Sony's God of War 2018 and God of War: Ragnarok), had Adam Miller pen a script from his story idea, and employed Noisecream to pump 45 tracks of darksynth goodness. But does this game manage to avoid the pitfalls of the often repetitive and played out genre? Take a watch and find out!
