Mizzurna Falls Explained: Sunday the 31st

Mizzurna Falls is a 1998 open world Twin Peaks inspired horror mystery thriller for the PS1. That's a mouthful and it's impressive. The game stars Matthew, as he's awoken on Christmas day when his phone rings. On the other end it's his friend Winona, and she tells him that Emma, one of their mutual friends, has gone missing. Matthew decides to investigate and we follow him on his week long journey to find his friend, and figure out why every lead keeps pointing towards the dodgy bar at the outskirts of town... It's quite the ride. It's fully realised full 3D with a fully simulated world. You can drive from one of end of the fairly large town to the other, and on your way there you'll run into the townsfolk doing their own thing. That was impressive in Deadly Premonition did it in 2010, but Mizzurna Falls did it first, and 12 years before. If the game is so fantastic then why make an Explained video? The story is great and the game itself is fantastic, but it's fantastic through the lens of what it was able to accomplish in 1998. As a product today, it's rough. Graphically it looks fine and it runs at a steady FPS, but every event in the game has to be observed at the exact correct time, and most of them can't be missed or it will trigger the bad ending. Without a guide, it's a slog to play, but it's a joy to hear about, so here is my video about Mizzurna Falls explained.... Part 1
