HEY BLONDIE: A Love Letter to Unreal

A Love Letter to Unreal (1998): A Retrospective Analysis Unreal is often overshadowed by Half Life and other 90's era shooters, played down among some groups as insignificant, but this wasn't always the case. Unreal received critical praise on release for its bleeding-edge textures, lighting, environments, and AI. For me, Unreal was an awakening to the boundless possibility of what future games could be. It still enraptures me now, as it did back then, and deserves to be remembered as a titan of the industry. This is my love letter to Unreal. Part retrospective, part anaylsis, all nostalgia. Journey with me, see Unreal through my eyes.
